Have a relaxing weekend!

DYK:  This just in... Lions are big.  The average male lion weighs around 180 kg (400 lb) while the average female lion weighs around 130 kg (290 lb).

Well, that's a rap.  Summer vacation is behind us (mostly) and it's time to get down to business for 17-18.  I love it!  Bring it on!!!

As I've mentioned, there will be three major systems in the Blueprint that you'll be hearing about this school year.

1.  Intense Student Support Network

2.  Curriculum Units & Common Assessments

3. High Quality Visions of Subject Specific Instruction

These are big systems that will require some degree of focus and attention by all of us to make them become a reality in TCAPS.  I'm confident that by working together, we can do it!

Oh, and those systems from last year, you ask?  Still going. We are reviewing them and looking at how they performed for us, making appropriate changes and taking back to the DAN for approval. When any of those systems are updated, you'll be updated and the system will be updated in the Blueprint Team Drive that was shared with you last week (Thanks Mrs. Gorter!).

We will continue to work hard to improve at Central Office to support the hard work you do each and every day for kids.  Together we can build a system that will be strong for every student that walks through the door and make sure that she / he is ready for college and career.

Have a great weekend and fantastic start to the upcoming school year.  I look forward to seeing you soon as I'm out and about.
